You only need an internet connected PC and a standard Internet browser take advantage of MedPac Online ™ platform and free yourself and your Practice from the never ending expensive hardware/software upgrades mandated by other software vendors.
Desktop and OS Requirements
You can use any off the shelf PC systems currently available in the marketplace (Intel Celeron/Pentium/Xeon or ADM Sempron / Athlon /Duron) that has at least 256 Mb RAM, a network card, and running Windows 2000 / XP (Home or Professional) or newer OS. This gives our customers maximum flexibility in choosing their systems based on their cost/quality preferences.
Internet Browser
MedPac recommends Microsoft Internet Explorer (non-branded) version 6.0 or newer set as default browser with 128-bit encryption. MedPac does not guarantee its online functionality on other browsers such as Mozilla, Opera, and Firefox as we have not tested our platform with these browsers.
Printer
A local or network laser printer with 10 ppm speed is recommended for printing. A printer with PCL capability is required for printing some template forms such as HCFA.
Connectivity
We recommend a high speed internet connectivity to derive full benefits of our services. Accordingly a DSL or cable modem based internet connection from any of the telecom / cable vendors is sufficient. In addition, we recommend our clients to use a reliable network router / firewall to protect your internal systems from the public Internet. MedPac will give specific recommendations and assist during the implementation.
